In each project, wood becomes the protagonist, thanks to its ability to combine strength, lightness and natural beauty. Each work is a tangible example of the company’s commitment to combining innovation, sustainability and respect for the environment.
In the center of Ovada, Cavanna Group participated in the requalification of the Aie district, an area historically significant to the local community. The project involved the construction of four multi-story GL24h laminated wood structures designed to ensure energy efficiency and living comfort.
Set in the wine-region landscape of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Boutique Hotel Nordelaia is a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary style. Cavanna Group designed the pre-cut wood roofing, respecting the original architecture of an 1800s farmhouse.
In the municipality of Nus, Cavanna Group was involved in the urban requalification of the San Rocco district, building a new GL24h laminated wood roof for a residential building. Given the complexity of the project, a 3D laser scanner mapping via cloud of points was used, which was essential for the static consolidation of the building and to ensure a perfect integration of the new structure with the existing one.
Intervening on historic buildings requires special awareness. Cavanna Group worked on a 19th-century structure in the center of Turin, composed of two bodies that follow the city’s urban arteries. The design choice was to maintain the original effect of the roof, creating a rigid node where the four compluves and displuves of the roof join. This approach preserved the historic integrity of the building while ensuring safety and functionality.
